Representing Family of Child Crushed By Boulder At Apartment Complex

Arnold & Itkin attorneys Jason Itkin and Trent Shelton filed suit on behalf of the family of a five-year-old child who suffered serious crush injuries due to the negligence of an apartment complex.

The apartment’s maintenance crew left a concrete boulder propped up against a building; the boulder fell on our clients’ child, causing severe, life-altering injuries.

The child has had to have part of her foot amputated due to her injuries, alongside other invasive surgeries.

“Apartment complexes owe a duty to their tenants to take adequate steps to protect them,” our premises liability lawyers said in a statement, “Far too often, we see apartment complexes putting more emphasis on profits rather than safety. This incident was no different, and it could have been prevented had the maintenance crew not left materials laying around the complex.”

This suit was filed in Harris County.
