Biography

A fifth-generation Texan, Parker has worked tirelessly in service of his community. After graduating from the University of Texas, Parker joined the Teach For America program, where he taught English to sophomore and junior students in the Houston Independent School District for five years. His hard work and excellence in teaching were recognized when he was elected Teacher of the Year by his peers during his fourth year at Chavez High School.

Parker then transitioned to a leadership role as the Director of Three Oaks Academy, a nonprofit program supporting students battling substance use disorders. Leading a team of educators and mental health specialists, Parker played a vital role in empowering and supporting students on their journey to recovery.

With a desire to broaden his impact, Parker then pursued his long-held dream of becoming an attorney. He attended Stanford Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor on the Stanford Law Review and the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties.

After graduating from Stanford Law, Parker joined the Appellate group of a prestigious law firm in Houston. There, he helped obtain major victories on behalf of clients who were harmed by corporate misconduct. He also maintained an active pro bono docket, which gave him the opportunity to present an oral argument in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. After obtaining a total victory for his client against the toughest of odds, Parker’s efforts were heralded by his nonprofit co-counsel as “some of the finest lawyering I’ve ever seen.”

Parker further honed his legal skills as a judicial clerk for Judge George C. Hanks, Jr. in the Southern District of Texas. This opportunity not only deepened Parker's understanding of the law but also provided a moment of unmatched personal significance when Judge Hanks officiated Parker’s wedding to his partner, Shaun.

Parker is proud to have had his work published in the Southern California Law Review.

Today, as a valued member of the Arnold & Itkin appellate team, Parker brings a unique perspective and legal acumen to every case he handles. With a commitment to justice and a dedication to serving others, Parker strives to make a difference in the lives of our clients and the community at large.

Parker enjoys playing guitar, singing, playing tennis, and spending time with his family.
